The tulip flower is a force. Millions of bulbs are grown and delivered in the north-east alone; this is a flower of beauty, timing, and audacity. The tulip is a unique combination of fragility and flamboyance. Summer wind and dry weather will make the tulip drop quickly- but spring rains allow this flower, for several weeks, produce car stopping results. Tulip installations as low as $500 per 1000 installed! Crocus as low as $250 per 1000 installed! Almost any color combination available!
Tulips must be planted in the fall in order to bloom in the spring. The window for planting is from the beginning of Fall to the beginning of Winter. Fall 2010 begins September 22nd, Winter 2010 begins December 21st.

Natura Gardens LLC is supporting the restoration of America’s forests by becoming a member of the American Chestnut Foundation.
America’s hardwood forests were drastically changed by the introduction of the ‘chestnut blight fungus’ to New York in the early 1900′s. Before the introduction of the blight, chestnuts were the tallest trees in the North-East, reaching up to 200 feet in height. A truly magnificent tree, the fast growing American chestnut: (1) was a tree favored by the lumber industry (2) produced an abundance of food for people (3) provided critical habitat and food for woodland fauna (4) these fast & large growing trees sequestered large amounts of CO2, and if populations are restored, they may be used to help mitigate climate change.
Via extensive selective breeding programs, The American Chestnut Foundation believes it has created a 100% American chestnut with 100% blight resistance. Nearing the end of trail periods, the American Chestnut Foundation is fairly certain that it is very close to returning this magnificent species to our hardwood forests and landscapes. That means that in our lifetime, we may see the drastic restoration of the American hardwood forest.

Pictures are worth a thousand words; a photo mock-up, like the one on the right, is a tool Natura Gardens uses so that the customer can more fully visualize the final outcome of the project. As all designing is done digitally, additions and subtractions can be made from any project more quickly than with traditional pen and paper sketches. The added flexibility in the design process more fully ensures that you’ll be pleased with the final product.

Sick of mowing that steep hill out back? Why not let Natura Gardens terrace it, and install perennials for some added color. Hills are dangerous to mow. Grass is boring. Walls add value to your home, and lets face it, look pretty darn classy.
Natura Gardens does all sorts of retaining walls. Name the medium; river stone, pavers, brick, recycled barnstone, timber and railroad ties. When correctly installed, a retaining wall (even a wooden wall) should last many lifetimes. Building a wall isn’t rocket science, but it does involve some educated engineering. Our retaining walls are always properly constructed with concealed supports beams built into the earth and proper drainage systems. Save yourself the headache of fixing an improperly built wall in a few years, and go with Natura Gardens. Sooner you contact us, the sooner we can build an estimate for you. And we’ll do it right the first time. Promise.
